Introduction
This article is showing on how to install QGIS. Actually, QGIS is generally a complete package installation of several libraries for GIS. As the information exist in the official website of QGIS in this link, in the main headline of the QGIS, it claims that QGIS is a free and open source GIS (Geographic Information System). Moreover, QGIS is actually a GIS application which is a Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). The main function available in the QGIS is basically for creating, editing, visualizing and publishing geospatial information on Windows, MacOS, Linux, BSD and also mobile devices. Along with the application’s installation, it also install the necessary library such as GDAL, QGIS, etc.

This part will show how to install the library. As an example, it will use a device where it runs using Microsoft Windows 11 as its operating system. But generally, it will work in any current version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. Just do and perform the following steps :

First of all, just download the GDAL library file installer. In this context, it is available from another website exist in this link. It is a website . Just click the Download button and then it will direct the download page. For the installation in this context as an example, it is using the ‘OSGeo4W Network Installer’. Currently, the installation file itself exist in this link.

After that, execute the file, it will display the following window dialog installation :

After selecting the Advanced Install radio button, it will direct the installation process into the next window to continue the process of the installation.

It obvious since the installer is just a network installer type of OSGeo4W. Before continue on the installation process, since it will download the necessary source files, it will ask for the internet connection available in the local device which is the target of the package installation. It exist as in the following image :

The process of the installation will continue on to the following step. It will give the choice to download the necessary files for the installation process by giving list of sites as in the following image :

Next one, it will display the window installation for choosing the root directory where the OSGeo4W file will be exist after the installation process. In this example, it will just leave it as default with the location of ‘C:\OSGeo4W’ as in the following image :

How to Install QGIS Library in Microsoft Windows Just let it be and choose the default one. In this context, it will choose the temporary directory exist in the Users folder as exist in the image above. Do not forget to click the Next button for continuing the installation process.

Instantly, after clicking the Next button of window as exist in the above image, it will display the step for choosing packages for installation. In this context, it is choosing all of it for a full installation as in the following image :
